Elliott Reed at Trout Creek, Oregon

Elliott Reed

Elliott’s first climbing experience was with his older brother in the Tahoe-area when he was 13. After that, he knew he wanted to learn more about climbing and mountaineering. While studying Forestry at the University of Montana, Elliott expanded his experience in backpacking, backcountry skiing, and climbing. He went on to work for various outdoor programs, gaining experience through outdoor education and forest-service work. He later worked for the National Outdoor Leadership School, teaching rock climbing, backpacking, and canyoneering.

Elliott lives in Bend, Oregon where he works as a Professional Ski Patroller on Mt. Bachelor in the winter season and volunteers with Deschutes County Search and Rescue.
